Join Wendi Whitmore, SVP of Palo Alto Networks’ Unit 42 Threat Intelligence and Security Consulting business unit, for an interactive threat intelligence briefing paired with a fun wine tasting experience!
Cyberattacks are now outpacing most enterprises’ security abilities, with threats growing in volume and sophistication. It’s a magnitude of risk that has never existed before. In times like these, it’s imperative to understand your adversaries, re-examine your security posture, and make significant changes that would otherwise be difficult in relative peacetime.
The average ransomware payment climbed 82% since 2020 to a record $570,000 in the first half of 2021, as cybercriminals employed increasingly aggressive tactics to coerce organizations into paying larger ransoms. The increase comes after the average payment last year surged 171% to more than $312,000. These figures, compiled by the Unit 42 security consulting group, quantify what many of us already know – the ransomware crisis continues to intensify as criminal enterprises boost investment in highly profitable ransomware operations.
Join us in an open forum as Wendi shares actionable insights into adversaries’ methods and operations, and the latest threat variants targeting the Healthcare industry. She’ll also discuss Palo Alto Networks’ Unit 42 Security Consulting & Incident Response Services and how that practice has helped support more than 1,000 customers per year on breach response.
We’ll conclude the interactive discussion with a fun wine tasting experience. We look forward to hosting you on Nov 10th!
