Tony Olsen is the critical infrastructure advisor for Canada at Palo Alto Networks, where he provides strategic advice and cybersecurity guidance across all areas of the business, with a focus on protecting Canada’s most vital systems and services.
Before joining Palo Alto Networks, Tony had a distinguished public service career. He retired from the Canadian Forces after years of service as both a technical specialist and leader. He then joined the Communications Security Establishment (CSE), where he led key operational, technical, and analytical teams within Canada’s Foreign Intelligence Mission. In the later stages of his CSE career, Tony was a leader in the Cyber Defence Mission. There, he headed the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security’s external engagement group, responsible for working with the global ICT sector, managing CSE’s vulnerability disclosure process, and advancing Canada’s cybersecurity innovation efforts through partnerships with federal programs.
Tony’s contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including the Chief of the Defence Staff Commendation, the Head of the Public Service Award for leadership and compassion following the 9/11 attacks, the Public Service Award of Excellence for Leadership and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
