Steve Manley

Regional Vice President, ANZ

Palo Alto Networks

Steve Manley is the regional vice president for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) at Palo Alto Networks. He is responsible for leading Palo Alto Networks growth and expansion efforts in the region.

 

Steve has over 28 years of experience in the technology and IT sector. Before joining Palo Alto Networks, Steve held numerous leadership positions at NetApp, including Vice President of APAC Global accounts, Vice President for ASEAN and ANZ, and Vice President for ANZ and Sales Director for the Northern Region. 

    

Prior to NetApp, Steve has held numerous leadership positions working in large end user environments across the UK and Ireland, systems integrators, managed service providers and distributors in Australia. He also has led many technical and sales teams in these senior leadership roles.    

 

Steve holds a Master of Business Administration from Southern Cross University. In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time outdoors with his four children, especially on the water.

Sarah Sloan

Head of Government Affairs & Public Policy, ANZ 

Palo Alto Networks

Sarah Sloan is the Head of Government Affairs & Public Policy for Australia and New Zealand at Palo Alto Networks. In her position, she advises the company’s leadership on a range of cyber and technology policy issues, builds strategic relationships across all tiers of Government and acts as a trusted private sector adviser to Government. Prior to her roles in the private sector, Sarah spent 10+
years working in Government, predominantly in cybercrime and cybersecurity. She has a proven track record of delivering results at the operational and strategic levels of government and is passionate about improving Australia and New Zealand’s cyber security posture.


Sarah is a graduate of the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Laws
(Hons.) and Bachelor of Asia and the Pacific Studies. She also holds a Graduate
Diploma of Asia and the Pacific Studies (Japanese), Graduate Diploma of Legal
Practice, and a Master of International Laws, where she wrote her thesis on
international norms and Cyber Security.

Philippa Cogswell

Managing Partner, Unit 42, JAPAC
Palo Alto Networks

Philippa is the Managing Partner for Unit 42 in the JAPAC region. Unit 42 is a specialist team that offers cybersecurity consulting services, including Incident Response, Cyber Crisis Management, Defensive and Offensive Security, Threat Intelligence, as well as Strategy, Advisory, and Cyber Risk Management.

 

Philippa boasts over 20 years of experience in security, technology, and leadership. She has led cybersecurity teams and contributed to capability development in technology companies, security consulting, and governments. Throughout this period, she gained extensive international experience and insights, operating in regions such as Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the US, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand. Furthermore, she possesses cross-sector experience, having worked with major organisations in financial services, technology, telecommunications, transport, manufacturing, energy, pharmaceuticals, higher education, and government. She has also served in prominent roles at both Australian and British security agencies and acted as an advisor for the UK's Centre for Protection of Critical National Infrastructure (CPNI).

 

Before joining Palo Alto Networks, Philippa was a Partner at PwC and served as the Australian Defensive Security Leader. She led engagements in complementary domains such as Cyber Risk Management, Privacy, and Operational Resilience.

 

Philippa holds a Master's in Information System Security with Distinction and has held industry certifications such as Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security), and Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP).
